A book that you've read and loved always makes a great gift. In my opinion, it's even better to give the copy that was read by you. Anyway, I chose this book for my first gift idea because I think it would really be a perfect gift for anyone. While Part II is more concerned with Frankl's school of thought entitled logotherapy, Part I is probably one of my favorite things I've read. In it, Frankl does not give the stereotypical saddening account of holocaust devastation. Instead, he brings hope into even the most horrific situations, showing that man has the ability to adjust to anything. He reminds us, in Nietzsche's words, that "he who has a why to live can bear with almost any how." This book has the potential to change the reader's way of viewing the world.
